My name is Colin Bialek, and I’m a furniture maker and millworker based in the New York City area.
I began working in professional furniture fabrication over six years ago, building custom pieces and production furniture in a Brooklyn shop environment. During that time I developed a strong foundation in woodworking, precision fabrication, and finishing. I have also worked with a myriad of different materials from brass, to exotic woods and eggshells. I spent several years helping run the wood department, producing furniture and millwork pieces with a focus on consistency, efficiency, and quality craftsmanship.
Over time I became especially interested in the role that well-designed built-ins and cabinetry play in a space. In New York homes, where every inch matters, thoughtful millwork can transform the way people live in their spaces.
Today my work focuses on custom furniture, built-ins, and residential millwork. I enjoy collaborating with designers, architects, and homeowners to create pieces that are both functional and long-lasting. My approach emphasizes clean construction, durable materials, and careful attention to detail.
Whether it's a wall unit, shelving system, wardrobe, or custom cabinetry, I’m interested in building pieces that integrate naturally into a home and improve the way a space is used.
